tam, tam w bezkresie jest sama głębia

który uniesie
On, On tak piękny,
że oczy duszy
mogą to dostrzec w ułamku niedużym
On, On tak czysty,
że kropla rosy
jest znów ułamkiem
tej przejrzystości
On, On tak mocno rozmiłowany,
że krwią swoją własną…
…ten wszechświat nam dany
…śmierć więc dla oka
i śmierć dla uczucia
dla serca małego
a życie dla ducha
…niczego nie pragnę niż ponad te łany
ten jeden horyzont mieć podarowany

I leave beyond
the golden fields of corn
bread scented ones
when one fancies eating
…the fields gladdening an eye and a heart
and yet beyond them
there is a wider horizon
the horizon of boundless universe
there, there in the vastness
there is solely the depth of soul
and He, just He alone
is able to carry all
He, just He alone
so beauteous
that the eyes of soul might sight it merely
He, just He alone
so pure
that a dewdrop is barely able to depict its chastity
He, just He alone
so much enamoured of us that with His own blood…
…the Universe has been bestowed upon us
hence death for the eye
and death for emotion
of the little heart
but life for the soul
…I do desire nothing more
than to have this bestowed horizon beyond these fields of corn
